The CNG is the French national research center which enables a response to scientific questions necessitating high throughput sequencing and genotyping thanks to the development and deployment of innovative integrated technologies. The organization of the CNG enables optimization of genetic and genomic research on human diseases by creating indispensable links between cohort constitution (DNA samples), identification of the responsible genes, and study of the transcriptome and epigenome.

The IT and Bioinformatics Laboratory of the National Center for Genotyping (CNG) has the mission of providing bioinformatics and analytical support for exploitation of the data generated by the massive data acquisition technologies in genomics, transcriptomics and epigenetics. The Laboratory is staffed by engineers/researchers who contribute to the projects by providing expertise in modeling, IT development, bioinformatics and biostatistics. In the implementation of the Laboratory's missions, it works in very close cooperation with the various laboratories of the CNG: Biological Resources, Epigenetics and Environment, High-Throughput, Intermediate-Low Throughput and the Scientific IT Laboratory of the IG.
CEA is a French government-funded technological research organisation in four main areas: low-carbon energies, defense and security, information technologies and health technologies. A prominent player in the European Research Area, it is involved in setting up collaborative projects with many partners around the world.
